Urban League Upstate Scholarship

Martin Luther King, Jr. took hold of the freedoms promised by our nation’s founding fathers and used his constitutional rights when he made his speech and developed his dream. By taking action on his dream, Dr. King was able to change the future of men, women, and children, and impact so many aspects of our current society. It is this spirit that inspired us to continue the theme for the 2018 MLK Dream Scholarships.

Six scholarships will be awarded totaling over $195,000 and presented at the MLK Dreams in Action Program on January 13, 2018. All scholarships entries will be evaluated for selection based on transcripts, letters of recommendation, autobiography statement, GPA, financial need and demonstrated leadership and community service. The criteria for the scholarships are as follows: DEADLINE IS Friday, November 17, 2017.
