Computer Science Opportunities through The Citadel

Who: Science Teachers

What: PD and training opportunities

Greetings all!
As Computer Science starts to ramp up across the state of SC, The Citadel's STEM Center of Excellence would like to help.  As the SC Regional Partner for Code.org, we will be offering FREE professional development for all Code.org courses this summer, July 9-13, 2018.  We have also partnered with Morehouse College to help students learn about computing careers by interacting with avatars (see flyer for PAID research study).  Lastly, Computer Science Education Week is December 4-10. 2017.  We are kicking off the week at The Citadel with Cookies, Cocoa, and Coding (see flyer attached).  We encourage all schools to register their Hour of Code at hourofcode.com   If we can do anything to help, please let us know.  For teachers interested in CS support, SC has a local chapter of CSTA (CS Teachers Association).  More information can be found at lowcountrycsta.com

If The Citadel can help your district and/or schools in any way, please let us know!

Thank you!
Jen
